Approve a request

One queue of what is waiting on you, with the requester and the item in front of you.

01 Open your queue

My Approvals lists what is waiting on you under To do, what you have already acted on under Done, and everything under Everything. Each row shows the reference, who asked, the subject and your action. You can search and filter the list.

02 Review the request

Review opens the request with its approval workflow and its activity trail. A banner tells you when the request is awaiting your approval.

03 Approve or reject

Approve or reject, with a comment if you want to leave one. The comment is optional either way, and it stays on the request’s record next to your name and the time.

04 What happens next

Approving moves the request to the next step. Its approvers are worked out at that moment from your directory, then recorded on the step. On the last approval the access is granted automatically. Rejecting stops the request, and the requester is told.

05 When you are away

Name up to three colleagues to cover for you, permanently or for a set period. The requests reach their queues instead of waiting for you. See Delegate approvals.
