Delegate approvals

Name up to three colleagues to act for you, permanently or for a set period.

01 Name your delegates

From your own profile, name up to three colleagues to act on your behalf. Nobody shares a mailbox and nobody edits the chain. Naming someone who is not yet a Catalog user counts against your plan’s user limit.

02 Choose how long

A delegation can be permanent or last for a set period, such as a holiday. It lapses on its own when the period ends.

03 What your delegates see

A delegate sees your approvals in their own queue, marked as delegated to them, and can filter the queue down to just those.

04 What the record shows

The history records both who clicked and whose approval they were covering.

05 If a delegate leaves

Coverage pauses automatically if a delegate leaves the directory, and you are told.

06 When you hand over for good

When someone leaves or changes role, a user manager can move everything they held to a replacement in one step: their rights, the items they moderated and their approval steps. The requests already waiting on them move across instead of being cancelled.
